Two advanced coatings make ClimaGuard® Blue an innovative self-cleaning coating for conservatory roofs. The first coating is on the outside, reducing dirt’s ability to stick to the glass. When any dirt does stick, the coating actually accelerates its decomposition. When it rains, dirt simply washes away, so the glass stays cleaner longer. The second high performance coating is on the inside, offering high levels of thermal insulation to retain heat during cold months and reduce the need for venting and air conditioning in hot months.

Other factors such as large glass areas, shapes and patterns, thick glass, glass damaged during shipping, handling or installation, orientation of the building, exterior shading, overhangs/fins that reduce wind speed, and areas with high daily temperature fluctuations can all increase the probability of thermal breakage.
