ClimaGuard Solar combines a high level of thermal insulation with effective solar protection. Its reduced solar factor minimizes air conditioning costs and contributes to an optimal indoor environment.
As seasons change, ClimaGuard Solar maintains indoor comfort, energy efficiency and savings. In the winter, its powerful insulation keeps warmth inside. In the summer, ClimaGuard Solar keeps air conditioned spaces cool, both by insulating and selectively reflecting unwanted solar heat—while it permits natural daylight to enter.
ClimaGuard Solar coated glass is beautifully transparent and, as part of an insulated glass unit, provides excellent thermal insulation and solar control when compared with other construction materials. This gives designers and builders the freedom to use larger windows, flooding home interiors with natural daylight.
| Insulating glass configurations | Coating on surface | Light Transmission (%) | Light Reflection (%) | Color Rendering Index Ra | Solar Factor (g) EN 410 (%) | U-value EN 673 (15k) W/(m2K) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 – 16 – 4 (Argon filled) | 2 | 67 | 27 | 96 | 42 | 1.0 |
| 4 – 16 – 4 (Air filled) | 2 | 67 | 27 | 96 | 42 | 1.3 |
All values are calculated based on a 4/cavity/4 buildup with the coating on surface #2. The U-value is calculated according to EN 673 with a ∆T of 15°K and argon gas fill rate of 90%.
All performance data are nominal values and are subject to production tolerances.
