Glass Type:

Low maintenance glass

Glass that requires little or no maintenance

Low maintenance, self-cleaning glass can be used in a variety of applications and it is often used in a conservatory or orangery, allowing the owner to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the views rather than cleaning the glass.

A coating is applied to the glass during the manufacturing process. The secret here lies in the hydrophilic and photocatalytic properties of the coating. Activated by the sun’s UV rays, this coating reduces the ability of dirt to stick to the glass, whilst exposure to UV light, in combination with the coating, accelerates its decomposition. This means the dirt washes away easier when it rains.
