Thermal Insulation Glass
It’s all about U
That’s U for U-value, or how the thermal insulation performance of a glass is measured. Guardian Glass offers a wide variety of solutions to help improve the energy efficiency of your home.
A glass solution adapted to your climate
Windows allow you to connect to the outside world and benefit from the natural daylight. But if they are not performant, they can lead to excessive heat loss during the winter or heat gain during the summer. Glass represents around 80 percent of a window. Choosing the most adapted to your needs can contribute to creating a comfortable indoor environment while consuming the energy responsibly.
How does thermal insulation glass work?
A very thin, transparent, and permanent coating is applied on the glass during its manufacturing process to provide it with insulating properties. The glass is then used in a double or triple insulating glass unit to achieve excellent thermal insulation. Depending on your requirements, it can help lower the demand on the air conditioning or on the heating system – or both!
