Guardian Top Projects Mexico 2025

The first edition recognizing notable projects from our customers has arrived in Mexico.

Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico | October 9, 2025

During the ceremony, the winning projects were announced—acknowledging works that, through the use of Guardian Glass products, help enhance and transform the spaces where they are applied.

Recognizing Architectural Achievement

More than 70 projects were submitted for this first edition. A committee of architects — Juan Carlos Alvear of Alvear Arquitectos, Jorge Arditti of Arditti+RDT Arquitectos, and Juan Pablo Serrano of Serrano Plus — evaluated the entries based on design, form, application, innovation, and environmental performance. Their assessment determined the finalists in each category. The winners were then selected through a public vote conducted on the Guardian Glass website. The finalist projects were recognized for their visual impact, architectural complexity, and effective integration of Guardian Glass products.

Institutional Participation

The event brought together several government representatives, who highlighted the value of initiatives that help strengthen the construction industry and promote urban development.

Distinguished guests included:

  • Mr. Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán, Municipal President of El Marqués
  • Ing. Ricardo Torres, representing Ing. Marco del Prete, Secretary of Sustainable Development of the Executive Branch of the State of Querétaro
  • Ing. Eduardo Martínez, Director of Electricity at the State Energy Agency of Querétaro
  • Arq. Erik García Gutiérrez, representing Ing. José Pío X Salgado Tovar, Head of the Secretariat of Urban Development and Public Works
  • Arq. Edgar Cetina, President of the College of Architects
  • Ing. Debbie Jaramillo, Director of CANACINTRA
  • Ing. Alfredo Sahagún, President of the CANACINTRA Board of Directors

Guardian Glass Perspectives

During the ceremony, Luis Tames, National Sales Director of Guardian Glass, emphasized the role of the El Marqués plant as an economic engine that helps generate employment for more than 200 employees and contributes to global glass production.
He reaffirmed Guardian Glass’s commitment to communities, employees, and business partners, noting that glass is not just a material, but a key element that helps realize the vision and purpose of every space.

Giselle Manzo, Marketing and Communication Manager, announced the introduction of SunGuard® SXN60+, a product designed to combine a neutral aesthetic with strong energy performance.

She also presented Guardian Glass’s ongoing digital transformation, including the development of digital tools intended to help professionals working with glass access information efficiently. One such innovation, CLARIA™ ai-powered assistant, provides quick answers to glass-related questions, helping support informed decision-making and specification processes.

Alan Kinder, Director of Commercial Demand Creation, and Kreg Hatfield, Regional Architectural Manager, spoke about the company’s global presence and focus on developing solutions that help optimize glass selection, specification, and project support at every stage.
