Michigan Department of Natural Resources Newberry Customer Service Center

The state’s first mass timber civic building, the Michigan DNR’s Newberry Customer Service Center blends the warmth of wood with SunGuard™ SN 68 coating with Guardian Bird1st™ Etch glass on clear, supporting daylighting, solar control, and bird-friendly respect for local habitat. Glass expanses are framed by Michigan-sourced red pine panels and Douglas fir beams. This interplay animates the interior while expressing the building’s sustainable construction approach from outside.
