Central Oregon Community College Science Center

Built into a hillside at Oregon’s oldest community college, the Central Oregon Community College Science Center’s earth-toned exterior harmonizes with its surroundings and the SunGuard SuperNeutral 54 on clear low-E coated glass used to ensure energy-efficiency. The two-story, 45,000-square-foot building features western red cedar ceiling panels mixed with Douglas-fir paneling, benches and casework to develop warmth in the spaces.

Opened in 2012, the Science Center was designed for collaborative learning with innovative lab classrooms, flexible breakout spaces, group study areas and of hallway chalkboards to encourage knowledge-sharing.
