Description of the project
Located in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan, 450 Washington Street features two towers anchored by six story residential bases. An 11 story footbridge enclosed in frameless glass connects the towers. The laminated IGUs add safety for residents and help drown out noise from busy Manhattan streets. Knowing this thicker configuration had the risk of adopting a greenish cast, the project team searched for a low cost, low iron glass solution. They ultimately selected SunGuard ® SN 68 on UltraClear ® glass to meet their goals. The glass makeup also satisfies needs for high performance and optimal clarity.
