CSX East AC Marriott Hotel

Description of the project

CSX East transformed an underutilized area in the Capitol Hill Navy Yard corridor in Washington, DC. Its unique design deftly integrates a hotel and two residential buildings with four elevated glass clad pedestrian bridges.

The façade features terracotta colored metal panels on the apartment buildings and blue metal panels for the hotel. The neutral appearance of SunGuard ® SNX 62/27 on clear glass works well with both color schemes, creating cohesion across the project. The glass also meets thermal performance requirements, helping to secure LEED ® Gold for the residential buildings.
