The Aga Khan Centre in King's Cross, London, stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of contemporary design and cultural heritage. Designed by the acclaimed Pritzker Prize-winner Fumihiko Maki, this nine-story educational and cultural hub is celebrated for its series of Islamic gardens, roof spaces, and courtyards. A key element in achieving its aesthetic and functional brilliance is the use of Guardian SunGuard ™eXtraSelective (SNX) 60/28 glass. This advanced glass not only helps enhance the building's natural beauty with its low reflection and neutral transparency but also provides great thermal insulation and solar protection. By allowing 60% of natural daylight to illuminate the interiors while blocking 72% of solar heat, the glass helps create a comfortable environment and reduce energy costs, marrying efficiency with elegance.
Footnote: SNX 60/28 is a discontinued product and has been superseded by SNX 60, which has similar aesthetic and performance qualities.
