ClimaGuard® Residential Glass

ClimaGuard 1.0+

Intelligent glass – ultimate comfort

Ideal for double-glazed windows in residential applications, Guardian ClimaGuard® 1.0+ is a thermally insulating glass that provides the highest level of light transmission (76%) and thermal insulation (U-value of 1.0 W/m²K) physically possible in a double insulating glass unit 4-16-4 panel. Clear and colour neutral when viewed from any angle, the glass transmits light beautifully. A very low U value insulates against heat loss as it guards against condensation and uncomfortable downdraughts. With a solar factor of 52% (annealed version) and 54% (heat treatable version), ClimaGuard 1.0+ makes efficient use of the sun’s warmth, allowing larger areas of glazing to be installed.

Displayed colors are intended to represent actual color. Color is a function of light and reflectivity and cannot be accurately portrayed online. Actual glass samples should be used to determine color. Please order a sample and discuss color with your Guardian Architectural Design Manager to ensure you are pleased with your ClimaGuard selection before ordering glass for your project.

The thermal stress guideline is only a rough guide to the thermal safety of a glazing. Other factors such as large glass areas, shapes and patterns, thick glass, glass damaged during shipping, handling or installation, orientation of the building, exterior shading, overhangs/fins that reduce wind speed, and areas with high daily temperature fluctuations can all increase the probability of thermal breakage. The results shown are not for any specific glazing installation and do not constitute a warranty against glass breakage.
