Description of the project

Wave Alphaville: glass waves inspired by Dubai and Miami

Designed by Studio Era and architects Erik Lundberg Remy in collaboration with Tatiane Rocha, Mariana Franco and Ivana Garcia – Wave Alphaville is a 24-storey residential building in Barueri (SP) with a distinctive, wavy-shaped glass skin facade. The solar control glass adds a curved effect to the façade, which resembles the movement of waves inspired by buildings in Dubai and Miami.

The glass was critical in helping to bring the design concept into reality and to enhance the comfort of residents, with lots of natural light brought into interior spaces.

Guardian Glass options were presented for evaluating color, aesthetics and performance. The final choice was Guardian SunGuard® Solar Light Blue 52 laminated solar control glass, which has a uniform silver hue, resulting in a very neutral aesthetic. The glass provides 52% light transmission, while blocking up to 42% of the heat.
