Guardian Glass is committed to the efficient use of natural resources while operating in a way that protects the safety, health and well-being of its employees, customers, the environment and society.
As a manufacturing leader of high performance, energy-efficient glass products for commercial, residential, interior, transportation, solar and specialty applications, Guardian Glass makes products that help improve people’s lives. By allowing abundant natural light into homes, offices and vehicles, glass products can help contribute to occupants’ well-being.
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a verified and registered document that communicates transparent information about the life-cycle environmental impact of a product.
Guardian EPDs are developed specific to the region where the glass is manufactured. By publishing EPDs, Guardian supports architects and designers who strive to understand the environmental impact of the buildings they design through the products they specify. The goal is to provide them with the information needed to calculate their buildings whole life carbon (WLC) emissions and achieve credits in global building rating systems, such as LEED® and BREEAM®. Two EPDs are available from Guardian Glass AMEI. For certifications and declarations for Guardian Glass products manufactured in Europe, Latin America or North America regions, please refer to that region’s webpage.
The Guardian Flat Glass Products EPD is valid for all flat unprocessed glass products produced in Africa, Middle East and India. The products covered by this EPD are unprocessed clear glass and Guardian UltraClear™ low-iron glass.
The Guardian Processed Glass Products EPD is valid for sputter-coated and wet-coated glass products produced in Africa, Middle East and India.
