Guardian Glass has announced the installation of a new state-of-the-art sputter coater at its manufacturing plant in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt.
Auburn Hills, United States | September 15, 2025Guardian Glass has announced the installation of a new state-of-the-art sputter coater at its manufacturing plant in 10th of Ramadan City, Egypt. Expected to begin operations in the second quarter of 2026, the new coater is aimed at strengthening Guardian Glass’ ability to deliver advanced coated glass solutions in the region.
The coater will support the growing demand for energy-efficient buildings that offer both comfort and architectural appeal. It marks a significant expansion of Guardian’s local capabilities in Egypt and extends the reach of its operations to serve customers across the country, throughout the broader Africa & Middle East region, and in Southeast Europe. The fully automated line will manufacture Guardian ClimaGuard™ low-E glass and Guardian SunGuard™ solar control glass for energy-efficient residential and commercial buildings.
As sputter-coated glass products become more widely adopted in the region, their benefits are key to advancing energy-efficient, design-driven construction. They offer excellent solar control and thermal insulation, while helping to maintain high levels of natural light, and delivering clean, neutral aesthetics that complement a wide range of architectural styles and support flexible, high-performance glazing configurations.
