66 Galen Street is a key piece in the redevelopment of Watertown’s rapidly expanding life sciences cluster. The LEED® Gold-certified building is marked by intersecting volumes and a dramatic angular lobby at its northwest entrance. The glass façade plays a starring role in both the aesthetic and functional success of the project. SunGuard™ SNR 50 low-E coating on clear glass offers sleek, silver reflectivity that creates a neutral yet impactful exterior, while its high visible light transmittance ensures bright, open interiors to enhance the comfort of occupants. Complementing this, SunGuard™ SN 68 coating on clear glass supports a clear connection between the indoors and the natural landscape. Additionally, SunGuard™ IS 20 thermal insulation coating helps enhance the building’s energy performance. A curved façade wraps around the Charles River-facing side, allowing expansive views of the landscape.
