Certified™ Products in Europe
Cradle to Cradle Certified® is an environmental label for products that are considered safe, and responsibly made. For more than a decade, Cradle to Cradle Certified has been helping companies to innovate and optimize materials and products according to their standards.
Three product categories C2C Certified® Full Scope Bronze (V3.1)
After a first certification in 2019, Guardian Glass renewed for the second time the voluntary third-party Cradle to Cradle (C2C) certification for three of our European product families. In August 2025, our float (ExtraClear® and Nexa™ only), sputter (vacuum) coated glass, and laminated glass products achieved C2C Certified® Full Scope at Bronze level according to version 3.1.
The products are also C2C Certified® Material Health Bronze on version 4.0. This certification focuses on material health, assessing the materials and chemicals used in the manufacture of our products and the associated health information.
Five categories assessed
The full scope of the C2C certification process assesses materials and products’ performance across five categories:
- Material health (V4.0) - Optimizing the chemistry of the materials used in the design of products/buildings to minimize impact to human health and the environment.
- Product circularity (V4.0) - Design to eliminate the concept of "waste" with intentional constituent cycles to retain the full value of the constituent.
- Water & soil stewardship (V4.0) - Treat water as a precious resource by encouraging effective management and use strategies.
- Social sairness (V3.1) - Responsible business operations and ethics for all stakeholders, including the supply chain and the environment.
- Renewable energy & carbon management (V3.1 - category named "Clean air & climate protection" under V4.0) - Continuing to improve energy efficiency and evaluate alternative energy sources and technologies.
Product Scorecards
