The Ralph S. O’Connor Center for Recreation & Well-Being at Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood Campus underwent a transformative renovation and addition. The project’s holistic approach to health is evident in the innovative design that emphasizes social interaction and wellness. The new addition seamlessly blends with the campus’s heritage through its zinc-clad angled form and curtain wall. The commitment to openness and connectivity is reflected in the design’s main entrance with expansive glazing featuring SunGuard™ SNR 43 on clear and CrystalGray™ glass. The glass selection helps sustainability take center stage with natural daylighting and a high thermal resistance building envelope.
