At Guardian Glass, stewardship means acting with proper regard for the rights of others — especially their safety and the environment. It shapes how we work every day to create value for our customers and communities while striving to use fewer resources. As a Koch company, our commitment is articulated in our Stewardship Framework and Vision.
Our three stewardship priorities
Environmental
From designing architectural glass products that can help improve a building's energy efficiency, to recycling glass cullet that can help our customers work toward their carbon reduction objectives, we focus on using fewer resources, minimizing waste and improving the overall environmental performance of our products across their entire life cycle.
Social
Our commitment to the social priority means creating an environment where employees can learn and thrive. It starts with a workplace that is safe — and one that recognizes each employee's uniqueness. We strive for an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives are shared freely and every person is treated with dignity and respect, and it extends to the broader communities where we live and work.
Governance
We are committed to conducting all our affairs with integrity and in full compliance with the law wherever we operate — as outlined in our Code of Conduct and our business management framework, Principle Based Management™. We create a culture of transparency and encourage employees to "Stop, Think, and Ask."
An approach that sets us apart
Stewardship is acting with proper regard for the rights of others, especially when it comes to safety and the environment. We use this term deliberately, because there is no single, universal definition of sustainability — it changes with region, culture and context, and it is often narrowed down to environmental themes alone, such as net zero, carbon, energy, waste and water.
Stewardship is broader. It brings together three connected pillars — environmental, social and governance — so we consider not only how we manage resources, but also how we treat people and how we run our business. For us, it is also about action rather than aspiration: the practical steps we take today across our operations and products.
