GUARDIAN PRODUCT DECLARATIONS
EPDs & HPD
A corporate commitment to the environment
Guardian Glass is committed to the efficient use of natural resources while operating in a way that protects the safety, health and well-being of its employees, customers, the environment and society.
As a manufacturing leader of high performance, energy-efficient glass products for commercial, residential, interior, transportation and specialty applications, Guardian Glass makes products that help improve people’s lives. By allowing abundant natural light into homes, offices and vehicles, glass products can help contribute to occupants’ well-being.
An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is a verified and registered document that communicates transparent and comparable information about the life-cycle environmental impact of a product. Guardian EPDs are developed specific to the region where the glass is manufactured since facility specific information is collected to quantify the environment impact of a product. The standards by which these impacts are measured can vary by region. By publishing EPDs, Guardian Glass intends to support architects and designers who strive to understand the sustainability profiles of the buildings they design through the products they specify. The goal is to provide them with the information needed to achieve credits in global green building rating systems, such as LEED® and BREEAM®. Two EPDs are available from Guardian Glass North America. For Guardian Glass products manufactured in Europe, please refer to the Guardian Europe webpage for a listing of European EPDs.

A Health Product Declarations (HPD) is a product transparency tool that provides information on materials or ingredients present in a finished building product. HPD documents are created in accordance with the Health Product Declaration Standard, which provides a consistent reporting format to increase the quality and availability of product content and health information.
Guardian's HPD provides a standardized way of reporting the material contents of building products and the health effects associated with these materials. The HPD contains a complete listing of all North America glass products covered.
